Franz Heigl
Through his professional training as a window-dresser and commercial artist, Franz Heigl discovered art. Ever since the 1960s he particularly enjoyed painting in watercolors and tempera. The artist, who was born in 1937 in the Bavarian Forest and today lives in Chiemgau, has worked as a free-lance artist since 1989.
His paintings captivate the viewer with the combination of colors. Warm, tender colors at the rims of the painting are set off against rich and expressive colors in the middle of the painting and thus emphasize the actual motif. Playful gleams of light flood the landscapes by Franz Heigl and impart an extraordinary optical appeal to them.
